Much as I like sharing images of ferns and seeds, it’s probably more helpful for you to see who I am if you are considering counselling with me.
I am an integrative counsellor, which means I draw on different counselling concepts and adapt our sessions to suit your needs and the issues you want to explore. I focus mostly on how you are experiencing life in the here and now. I provide a non-judgemental and confidential space for you to talk about your thoughts and feelings.
I work collaboratively with you – you are the expert in your life and in what works and doesn’t work for you. I bring a range of “tools” and an understanding of psychological theory to help explore any issues or changes you would like to make in your life. I see the counselling relationship as a very human one and approach my work with you from a place of authenticity and empathy.
Counselling can help with a range of issues including (but not limited to) depression, anxiety, bereavement, stress, relationship issues, self esteem, eating disorders, suicidal thoughts and feelings and self harm.
I work from the beautiful and welcoming Soul Solutions in Faversham and offer a free initial session to find out if we can work together. I currently have sessions available weekday daytimes and evenings.
I am also a member of The National Counselling Society and The Therapists Network.
